At the beginning of October, the first of two annual training courses at BauMineral in accordance with the German Professional Driver Qualification Act was successfully completed.
The law requires that, in addition to a driving license, all professional drivers must also possess a professional qualification. This qualification is documented by regularly attending training sessions. To renew the license after five years, proof of participation in five training events is required. 16 drivers took part in the first legally required training session at the beginning of October.
The training is free of charge for BauMineral drivers and is conducted by DEKRA either at BauMineral or at its training facilities.
In September, twelve drivers took part in SCC* training from SCC Certification GmbH in Oberhausen. This training is aimed at service providers and companies in large industrial complexes such as power plants and chemical parks, and covers occupational safety, health and environmental protection. It particularly helps non-local service providers to identify potential hazards at an early stage. For example, SCC training is a requirement for access to the Maasvlakte power plant.
